Trump is a clear and present danger

Waiting for the investigations to unfold before talking about impeachment is the wrong path. By the original intent of the Constitution, Congress is empowered to impeach Trump simply for being unfit for office. No special panels with top-secret access are needed to show that. It becomes clearer every day. Impeachement was never meant to be a criminal trial. It isn't necessary to show that the president committed a crime or even obstructed justice. It's one of the Legislative checks on the president's power, and it's there to be used. Waiting for the smoking gun from the FBI or special investigators is the less democratic option. It's the deep state option. The democratically elected Congress should own this responsibility.
